A deluxe new book, Hirschfeld’s Sondheim, celebrates the iconic works of Stephen Sondheim through the art of Al Hirschfeld. This oversized poster book features over 50 of Hirschfeld’s legendary drawings, including rare archival images and a never-before-published triple portrait of Sondheim, Gershwin, and Kern.
Guests at the launch party at the legendary Algonquin Hotel in NYC included notable Broadway stars such as Danny Burstein, Jackie Hoffman, and Len Cariou, as well as acclaimed actor and writer John Leguizamo. An interview with David Leopold, Creative Director of the Al Hirschfeld Foundation, was also part of the event.
A standout feature is the book’s innovative format, with 25 perforated, full-page posters you can easily remove and frame. For the first time, these iconic works are available in an accessible and affordable format.
