Legendary Actor John Lithgow Breaks Two Records with Tony Award

Kara Young has cemented herself as a groundbreaking force on Broadway, becoming the first Black performer in history to receive four consecutive Tony Award nominations and to win back-to-back Tony Awards for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Kara joined the cast of the Broadway revival of David Auburn's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize® winning play Proof, starring as Claire alongside Ayo Edebiri and 11-time Emmy Award nominee Don Cheadle - jumping right into the production as a last-minute replacement for Samira Wiley.
