Thursday, February 6, 2025 – Theater District, NYC:

Two-time Academy Award® winner George Clooney, alongside co-book writer Grant Heslov and director, David Cromer, introduced the complete Broadway cast of “Good Night, and Good Luck”.

In a landmark theatrical event, George Clooney will make his Broadway debut in this electrifying stage adaptation of the critically acclaimed film.

The play brings the audience back into the golden age of broadcast journalism with Edward R. Murrow (played by Clooney) in a legendary, history-altering, on-air showdown with Senator Joseph McCarthy.

As McCarthyism casts a shadow over America, Murrow and his news team choose to confront the growing tide of paranoia and propaganda, even if it means turning the federal government and a worried nation against them.

NYC VIBE was invited to meet the cast under the direction of Tony Award®-winner David Cromer, from the original screenwriters Clooney and Grant Heslov, Good Night, and Good Luck chronicles a time in American history when truth and journalistic integrity stood up to fearmongering and disinformation – and won.
Good Night, and Good Luck was a 2005 historical drama film about American television news, which was directed by George Clooney, with the movie starring David Strathairn, Patricia Clarkson, Jeff Daniels, Robert Downey Jr., and Frank Langella as well as Clooney himself.
