Pizza lovers finally had the opportunity to joyously celebrate dozens of the city’s best pizza slices at the first-ever One Bite Pizza Festival, which took place this past weekend in Coney Island …
Despite the weekend rain storms, guests had the opportunity to sample the best slices from over 35 of the finest pizzerias including Lucali, Sally’s Apizza, Prince Street, Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria, Di Fara, Johns of Bleeker and more at the venue – all personally selected and invited by Barstool Sports founder and pizza aficionado Dave Portnoy, which was born out of his love of the cheesy, doughy pie.
The chef’s selected represent Portnoy’s personal favorite and top-rated spots, offering the lucky guests the unique and special opportunity to branch out and explore new flavors all at one venue.
NYC VIBE was invited to catch up with Dave and reflect on his influence in the Pizza World.
Together with Portnoy and event organizer Medium Rare, the One Bite Pizza Festival brought Dave’s over-the-top, pizza-loving personality to life for the inaugural all-you-can-eat gathering to experience the greatest get together of pizzerias ever, interactive pizza experiences and main stage performances.
